Nordic Touch Rugby Comes Alive in Stockholm – Touchtober 2025!

On October 4th, 2025, Touch Stockholm proudly hosted the biggest touch tournament ever held in the Nordics at Ärvinge Bollplan in Kista, Stockholm, Sweden. The event brought together 112 athletes across 8 teams from 5 different countries, making it a truly international celebration of the sport we love.

The Teams

The tournament featured a fantastic lineup of teams:

• Touch Stockholm Avokado (Sweden)

• Touch Stockholm Lax (Sweden)

• Baden Banditos (Switzerland)

• Uppsala Swifts (Sweden)

• Karlstad Sunwolves (Sweden)

• Quokkas Touch (Scotland)

• Warriors Helsinki (Finland)

• Copenhagen Touch Rugby (Denmark)

Tournament Highlights

​The competition followed a round-robin format, with every team facing each other in a day full of fast-paced action and great sportsmanship. After the group stage, the top two teams—defending champions Copenhagen Touch Rugby and Quokkas Touch—qualified for the final.

In a thrilling and tightly contested match, the final ended in a 3–3 draw, showcasing the incredible skill and determination of both sides. As the format did not include drop-offs due to time constraints, and based on their round-robin results against each other, Quokkas Touch were crowned the 2025 Stockholm Touchtober Champions. Congratulations to Quokkas Touch for taking home the trophy!

A Celebration Beyond the Pitch

After the games, players and supporters gathered at Harry B James pub in Kungsträdgården for the after party. The night was filled with laughter, music, and an unforgettable karaoke session, where everyone had their moment in the spotlight!
