Everything You Need to Know for Stockholm Touchtober 2026! 🏉🍂
The crisp autumn breeze is here, and that can only mean one thing — Stockholm Touchtober is back!
Presented by Touch Stockholm, Sweden’s premier and largest Touch club (founded in 2010), Touchtober is our flagship social mixed tournament. It’s a day to celebrate the sport we love, bring together players of all experience levels, and share some friendly competition on the field.
Whether you’re a tournament veteran, a youth player stepping onto the pitch for the first time, or traveling in from abroad, here is your ultimate guide to Touchtober 2026!

🤝 Social Ethos & Tournament Rules
While everyone plays to win, Touchtober is first and foremost a social tournament. Touch is a growing sport in Scandinavia, and we have players from all backgrounds, including many youth players.
The Vibe: Competitive, encouraging, and inclusive. Abuse toward referees or players will not be tolerated.
Format: FIT rules adapted for a social mixed context. Matches are 15–20 minutes long (no halves).
Rosters: Max 14 players per team. Teams must maintain a mixed gender ratio on the field at all times (at least 2 men and 2 women on the pitch).
Referees: Qualified referees will officiate, and the referee's decision is final.

📍 Getting to the Venue (Bredängs Bollplan)
This year's action takes place at Bredängs Bollplan (127 31 Stockholm). The facility features full-sized artificial grass fields with changing rooms, water supplies, and toilets on site.
How to get there from Stockholm Central Station (T-Centralen):
Take the Red Line Metro (Tunnelbana 13) towards Norsborg.
Get off at Bredäng station (approx. 19 minutes / 11 stops).
Take a quick 10-minute walk (approx. 650 m) to Bredängs Bollplan.
💡 Public Transport Tip: A single SL metro ticket costs ~SEK 43 and is valid for 75 minutes. You can simply tap your contactless debit/credit card at the ticket gates. If you are staying for the weekend, a 3-day transit pass or using apps like Uber/Bolt are great alternatives.
🎒 What to Pack
Late September/early October in Stockholm averages around 5°C to 15°C. Autumn weather can be unpredictable, so come prepared for crisp air or a light drizzle!
Footwear: Moulded football boots or trail running shoes suitable for artificial grass. NO metal studs or flat sneakers (to prevent slips and injuries).
Clothing: Playing kit + warm base layers (thermal tops/tights).
Warm-up gear: A warm jacket, tracksuit pants, and a beanie for between games.
Extras: A waterproof bag (or heavy-duty bin bag) to keep your gear dry, EU power adapter, and EHIC/travel documents.
💅 Important Safety Rule: Please trim your nails before playing!
🍎 Food & Payments
Included Food: Food and drinks are included with team registration.
Extra Snacks and drinks: Snacks and extra items will be available to purchase at the field.
Card Only (No Cash): Note that we cannot accept cash. If you do not have access to Swedish electronic payments (Swish/cards), please let us know in advance or arrange a transfer via Wise.
🏆 Awards & Presentations
At 16:00, we’ll host the Presentation Ceremony! Along with handing out the official Touchtober Winners Trophy, we will also be recognizing individual excellence:
Tournament Overall MVP (voted after each game).
Team MVPs (each opposing team votes for their MVP after every match).
🍻 The After Party (20:00)
After shower and rest, join us in central Stockholm for drinks, food, and post-tournament socializing!
